Free Workshop for Local Floodplain Management Officials
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will offer a FREE workshop for local floodplain management officials from 1:00pm – 5:00pm on Thursday, October 14th in the Auditorium of the Wallace State Office Building, 502 East 9th Street, Des Moines. The auditorium is located at the main entrance to the Wallace Building. Free parking is available in the parking structure located west of the building (http://tinyurl.com/capitol-complex-parking).
The workshop will cover floodplain mapping, regulatory standards and the administrative procedures that comprise an effective floodplain management program.
The workshop is FREE. However, space is limited to 30 attendees and everyone must register in advance. The deadline for registrations is October 11th. Please use the following link to register: https://forms.gle/PbhQKBdTK8rS4o9f9.
